6. I would
like to take a stand on interracial relationships. I don’t understand why some
of us are so against dating between different races`. Love is love no matter
what our skin colors are.
During my
year abroad I got to experience a whole new world. I was so surprised to see that even nowadays
the color of your skin matters more than your actual self and behavior. Being
outside of United States and from a tolerant family I treated everyone as I
was color-blind. Not for long though, because soon my family told me that it
was not proper for me to hang out with people from different races. I just couldn't understand what the problem there was and obviously I was questioning
it. I got an answer that some people would look at me badly if they would see
me with a black man. I got really angry about that and being stubborn like me I
said that it was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard.
No matter
how we look, what language do we speak or where we are from, at the end of the
day we all are still the same. Every one of us is desperately looking for
someone to love and to share life with. But sadly no matter how hard we try
love isn't always enough.
